The Napa Valley Wine Library Association, a non profit membership organization lead and staffed by volunteers, was founded in 1963. Its mission is to collect and make available to the public wine publications primarily focused on Napa Valley but including national and international wine books and periodicals. The collection is housed in the St. Helena Public Library. It boasts rare items, popular books, and even winemaking manuals. In addition to its extensive collection, NVLWA produces periodic reports on wine industry issues and winemakers, conducts educational seminars, and holds an annual tasting of hundreds of Napa Valley wines.
