Summer Beekeeping Hive Dives

Beginner to intermediate beekeeper hands-on class led by experienced beekeeper Jon Sevigny discussing seasonal activities, pest management, and honey removal.
This monthly meeting, led by longtime beekeeper and beekeeping mentor Jon Sevigny, is geared towards the beginner to intermediate beekeeper. We will be discussing topics related to season activities in the hive as the summer progresses into fall, covering what steps keepers can do to help the colony deal with Varroa mites, hive beetles, and other pests. Students are required to provide and wear adequate protection such as a bee suit, veil, and gloves along with coverings for legs and arms. No dark colors please. Students must sign a liability waiver at the start of the class. Pre-registration is required. If you can not attend all 3 days then you may sign up for individual days. Online Registration.
