Painting Workshop: Cinematic Narrative in Painting

Filmmaking is a large part of contemporary culture. In this six-week painting class we will examine story-telling and the relationship between painting and cinematic perspective. We will begin with Delacroix who instilled his history paintings with the emotional influence of color and look at how artists set the stage with light, and direction in their work.
